If the Jewish People Are Israelites (From Iacob) Why Do They Reject The Messiah?

In the first century there 3 different groups of Jews. They all probably claimed to be descendant of Jacob but none had the same belief. Some believed in the idea of Resurrection where as others didn't. They Judeans who didn't believe in Jesus were the Pharisees and Saducees who were hypocrites.
